Anna AI – Psycho-Oncology Support Agent | UNITE Call 2 or further scientific validation

Co -Founder CEO MedHubAI at MedHubAi - Tech Solutions Ltd.

About

Anna AI is a psycho-oncology AI support solution developed by MedHubAI / Tech Solutions Kft., built on more than three years of continuous research, real-world use and professional supervision.

UNITE Call 2 is a current priority, but we are also interested in other European, national or industry-funded opportunities where funding is available for clinical validation, pilot implementation and further development of Anna AI.

Anna AI has been publicly and freely available to cancer patients, relatives and healthcare professionals since 7 March 2023. Its development has been shaped by the collaboration of Riskó Ágnes, Csernák Bence and Csernák Tamás, combining psycho-oncology expertise with healthcare AI development.

The solution is designed to complement — not replace — professional psycho-oncology care. Anna provides psychoeducational information, emotional support and guidance for patients and relatives, while its operation is accompanied by regular supervision from a clinical psychologist.

The scientific approach behind Anna AI has also been published in a peer-reviewed scientific paper in Magyar Onkológia (2026), indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central, complemented by further professional publications, conference presentations and independent academic reference.

For UNITE Call 2, we are now looking for partners for the next stage: further prospective clinical and real-world validation of Anna AI in oncology and psycho-oncology settings.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with oncology centres, hospitals, psycho-oncology departments, universities, research organisations and patient organisations that can participate in study design, clinical supervision, patient recruitment and independent validation.

The proposed project could evaluate patient acceptance and engagement, psychological and patient-reported outcomes, safety and escalation mechanisms, quality and accuracy of AI responses, continuity of support between professional consultations, and the potential reduction of repetitive workload for psycho-oncology and oncology teams.

A key development direction is to move beyond a conventional chatbot toward a clinician-supervised psycho-oncology support agent that can provide continuous support between professional contacts while recognising defined safety boundaries and escalating situations that require human intervention.

Our goal for UNITE Call 2 is therefore not to prove that Anna can have conversations with patients — this has already been demonstrated in real-world use — but to generate stronger prospective clinical evidence on its safety, effectiveness and role within real oncology care pathways.
