REAL-TIME WATER CONTROL SYSTEM

CEO at ADVANCED OPTICAL TECHNOLOGIES S.L.

BILBAO, Spain

About

This solution is a real-time, in-line water control system developed to enable continuous monitoring of critical water quality parameters, including COD, nitrites and nitrates, ammoniacal nitrogen, ammonium, and phosphorus.

A proof of concept has been developed and tested under laboratory conditions, enabling the characterisation of a wide range of water types, including wastewater, groundwater, surface water, and drinking water. The system is delivering promising preliminary results, particularly in the determination of COD and nitrate concentrations, confirming the feasibility and robustness of the technology.

These results highlight the system’s significant potential for future applications in water treatment, environmental monitoring, and process control, supporting more efficient, data-driven, and sustainable water management.
