About

GenStat Group (Prof. Markus Scholz) at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE), Leipzig University. We develop and apply advanced statistics and AI/ML to molecular, clinical and population data—covering study design and causal inference, longitudinal/survival modelling, multi-omics integration, single-cell & spatial analytics, and predictive/mechanistic models for systems medicine and pandemic preparedness. We lead methods WPs, build FAIR/reproducible pipelines, and co-create clinically actionable decision support with healthcare partners.
