Digital Innovation, AI & Open Display Networks for Cultural Heritage Organisations

Everyware Computing SRL (Iași, Romania) provides technical expertise, solution architecture and innovation mentorship for cultural heritage organisations, public institutions and SMEs exploring digital transformation projects.

Our work combines more than 15 years of software and solution architecture experience with research and development in pervasive computing, smart spaces and Open Display Networks. We apply established enterprise architecture and design practices (including TOGAF and ArchiMate) while drawing on a broader European research ecosystem that includes the FP7 PD-Net project, a PhD at the University of Minho (Portugal), multiple peer-reviewed publications and a body of doctoral research within that community that has collectively advanced the field of smart public display systems.

This work explored how public displays can evolve from static signage into open, programmable communication platforms capable of hosting applications, services and content from multiple providers, creating new opportunities for visitor engagement, communication and digital service delivery.

Open Display Networks Expertise

A distinctive part of our profile is our expertise in Open Display Networks — a European research vision proposing public displays as an open communication medium where multiple applications, services and content providers can coexist on shared digital infrastructure.

This work is currently being translated into Displify, a smart multi-application display platform for cultural heritage, healthcare and public-space environments. The platform applies concepts such as application orchestration, contextual information delivery and open ecosystems of third-party services.
