Measurement partner for agricultural soil carbon — IoT sensor networks and Earth observation

BCSE works on measurement and verification methods for soil organic carbon on farmland, combining low-cost IoT sensor networks with Copernicus data and field sampling. Our work is aligned with the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework, and we have contributed a position paper to the EU CREDIBLE focus group on proximal sensing.

We can contribute sensor network design and deployment, sampling design and data handling. We are looking for a software partner for the verification platform and for farms in Bulgaria or Central and Eastern Europe willing to host a pilot. Also open to research partners preparing proposals under the Horizon Europe Soil Mission.
