Agropark in communities

Anastasiia Moroz

Head of Department of Social Investment and Partnerships at Charitable Foundation "MHP - Gromadi"

Kyiv, Ukraine

About

  • The goal is to create an environmentally conscious, innovative space (AGROPARK) for education, sustainable and cultural development, where young people, children, and community members are involved in practical activities in ecological farming, landscaping, and environmental education.

  • Mechanics: Corn (or other agro) is planted on a plot of land in the community according to a special plan that forms a labyrinth. Youth and community members participate in the preparation, design and organization of the space. The labyrinth functions as a tourist attraction with elements of education (agro-education, ecology, local history) and cultural leisure. The project also envisages the creation of various zones within the agropark: an educational zone, a recreation zone, a zone for children, photo zones, and installations, in order to reach a wider target audience.

The labyrinth can promote the historical and cultural context of the area where it is located, and the maps that help you get out of the labyrinth tell the history and culture of certain periods

  • Partners: Local governments, schools, local businesses, farmers, NGOs
