About

CRESS Île-de-France is particularly relevant to this Horizon Europe call because it brings concrete field-based expertise on economic models that reconcile competitiveness, ecological transition and social cohesion. Through its broad network of social economy enterprises, local authorities and territorial actors, the organisation can provide direct access to case studies, qualitative data and participatory approaches illustrating how alternative forms of organisation influence economic resilience, job quality and productivity beyond traditional financial indicators.

CRESS IDF can notably contribute to the analysis of tensions between competitiveness objectives and the preservation of the European social model by bringing practical territorial perspectives and stakeholder-driven evidence into the consortium. Its expertise in social innovation, local development and multi-stakeholder mobilisation can support participatory research activities and strengthen the policy relevance of the project’s findings. In the context of the Draghi report and ongoing European debates on sustainable competitiveness, the organisation provides a complementary perspective to purely macroeconomic or industrial approaches, focused on the conditions for a transition that is both economically sustainable and socially inclusive.
