About
The Student Support Centre (DTK) at the Faculty of Informatics, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), is a unique, multidisciplinary hub dedicated to enhancing student success, mental well-being, and academic persistence in higher education.
We specialize in dropout prevention and the development of supportive ecosystems within competitive academic environments. Our approach combines psychological expertise, pedagogical innovation, and data-driven research. Taking into account student needs and institutional requirements, we ensure a sustainable and inclusive educational path for our diverse student population.
Our Expertise & What We Offer
As a project partner, we bring expertise in the following areas:

Dropout Prevention & Academic Success: We offer evidence-based methodologies for identifying students at risk and implementing personalized intervention strategies. We operate a dedicated research group focused on the drivers of academic persistence (dropoutprevention.inf.elte.hu).

Mental Health & Well-being in Tech-Education: We provide professional psychological support, stress management, and resilience-building programs tailored specifically for students in high-pressure STEM/ICT fields.

Curriculum Development for Soft Skills: We design courses on learning methodologies, communication, time and stress management for future professionals.

Mentoring Program: We organize a mentoring program for first-year students to help them adjust to their studies and prevent dropouts.
MASUDEM Project Experience
As part of the MASUDEM project (https://masudem.org/) we collaborated with higher education partners in Europe and the Far East to develop and deliver curricula for master’s programs in economics. Our work primarily covered the following topics:
