About
I am looking to contribute expertise and help shape a collaborative proposal under HORIZON-CL2-2027-01-HERITAGE-08: Safeguarding and transmission of intangible cultural heritage.
My work focuses on how intangible cultural heritage is documented, transmitted, and reactivated across archival, performative, and digital contexts, with particular expertise in folk theatre, sonic heritage, cultural memory, and rural cultural ecosystems. I am especially interested in how living traditions can be sustained through community participation, intergenerational exchange, and new digital forms of transmission.
I would like to contribute to projects exploring:
-
Intergenerational transmission of intangible cultural heritage
-
Community-led approaches to safeguarding living traditions
-
The relationship between archives, performance, and contemporary practice
-
The role of digital archives and cultural memory in sustaining traditions
-
New digital transmission models, including sonic heritage, digital storytelling, hybrid performance, and short-form media
-
Youth engagement with heritage through creative and digital formats
-
Participatory documentation of music, storytelling, ritual, craft, and local knowledge
-
Inclusive and accessible approaches to heritage safeguarding
I bring expertise in intangible cultural heritage, digital and sonic heritage, participatory and practice-based research, oral history, and community engagement. My work includes cultural heritage initiatives in North Kerry, research on folk theatre and broadcasting, and development of the Living Tradition Lab as a platform for participatory heritage research.
I am interested in collaborating with researchers, archives, museums, cultural organisations and local authorities working on heritage transmission, participation, and digital innovation.
