About

Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) brings complementary competences to consortia working at the intersection of arts, society, and innovation. Our core expertise lies in performing arts (music and theatre) and cultural/arts management. We have particular experience in exploring and documenting societal impact of arts, music and theatre practices and collaborations.

Our team is well positioned to contribute to evidence-building activities, including mapping and analysing knowledge transfer practices from the humanities and arts to industry. We have regional insight into the Nordic–Baltic context and can identify and synthesise good practices, case studies, and collaboration models relevant to innovation and competitiveness agendas.

EAMT has prior experience in developing and delivering challenge- based education; including learning modules and projects focused on managing arts initiatives with societal impact. Building on this, we can contribute to the co-creation of practical toolkits, educational frameworks, and methodologies for integrating artistic intelligence into research and innovation processes.

Our fields of expertise include cultural management, music and well-being, music therapy, and research on marginalised groups in society, alongside evidence-based cultural policy analysis. Our research staff is experienced in applying a wide range of methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, experimental, and creative research approaches.

In addition, EAMT can support work on emotional storytelling and artistic engagement by involving professional musicians, conductors, composers, and actors. We also offer relevant infrastructure, including concert halls and recording studios, and expertise spanning contemporary, classical, and improvisational practices in both music and theatre.

Overall, EAMT is a suitable partner for consortia seeking to integrate high-level artistic practice, research-based insights, and regionally grounded perspectives—particularly those interested in the cultural and collaborative potential of Estonia and the wider Nordic–Baltic area.
