About
Hive Ventures is exploring participation in a consortium for HORIZON-CL2-2026-01-TRANSFO-06, focused on making Europe more attractive and competitive in the global race for talent.
We are particularly interested in contributing to a project that develops evidence-based policy recommendations, stakeholder engagement activities, market and ecosystem analysis, and practical guidance for institutions and policymakers seeking to attract and retain talented students, researchers and highly skilled workers from non-EU countries.
We are already in contact with a EURAXESS member organisation regarding potential involvement and would be interested in connecting with coordinators, universities, research-performing organisations, policy institutes, migration and labour-market experts, and organisations working directly with international researchers and students.
What we can contribute
Hive Ventures can support the proposal and project through:
Policy and ecosystem analysis
Mapping current European and national measures for attracting and retaining international talent, including mobility schemes, research careers, innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship pathways and skills-related initiatives.
Stakeholder engagement and consultation
Designing and facilitating interviews, workshops, surveys and co-creation sessions with universities, research organisations, industry, public authorities, EURAXESS-linked actors, international researchers, students and high-skilled workers.
Impact, exploitation and communication
Developing the project’s impact pathway, stakeholder strategy, dissemination and exploitation plan, policy briefs, targeted communication materials and uptake activities for policymakers and institutions.
Commercialisation and innovation ecosystem perspective
Bringing experience in EU R&I projects, innovation support, startup ecosystems and talent needs in emerging sectors such as cleantech, energy, AI and deep tech.
We bring the Maltese R&I ecosystem and understanding of the employment/integration routes for TCNs and Blue Card regulations.
