Lifelong Learning Facilitator at CIEP (Centre d'Information et d'Education Permanente)
Tournai, Belgium
About
CIEP is a recognized actor in the field of lifelong learning, committed to adult education and civic empowerment. It has strong expertise in citizenship education, based on active and experiential learning methodologies (such as reflective walks, artistic interventions, intercultural dialogue spaces, educational workshops on European institutions and processes,…). These approaches, already tested in real-life settings, are transferable and adaptable across diverse European contexts, enabling the co-creation, piloting, and validation of innovative solutions.
CIEP stands out for its capacity to reach and engage groups that are typically underrepresented in democratic participation, including socio-professional integration centres (AID), adults enrolled in French as a Foreign Language programmes (FLE), beneficiaries of public social welfare services (CPAS), asylum seekers (Fedasil), women’s associations,... Through participatory facilitation methods, CIEP creates inclusive spaces that foster social and cultural diversity, strengthen civic competences, and promote social cohesion and active engagement.
With direct access to 150-200 participants and an extensive network of partners, CIEP provides a valuable environment for piloting, testing, and validating project outputs in real-world conditions. This ensures user-centred approaches, inclusiveness, and the relevance and scalability of results.
CIEP also integrates digital tools and media literacy approaches tailored to vulnerable groups, contributing to the development of inclusive and accessible solutions in line with the digital and societal objectives of Horizon Europe.
Furthermore, CIEP actively contributes to training, capacity building, and co-creation processes by supporting the design of learning modules, facilitating pilot phases, and producing practice-oriented and evidence-based recommendations grounded in field experience.
As a consortium partner, CIEP plays a key role in ensuring inclusion, access to target groups, real-life experimentation, and tangible societal impact, fully aligned with Horizon Europe priorities related to lifelong learning, democratic participation, and social innovation.
