HORIZON-CL2-2026-01-TRANSFO-04: Digital Distraction and Youth Well-Being

I offer specialized academic expertise in investigating the social dynamics of digital transformation, with a specific focus on "digital distraction" and internet usage habits among university and school-aged youth. My research examines how the leisure use of digital tools, social media engagement, and online communication influence students' motivation, attention spans, concentration, and overall social integration.

I am fully prepared to contribute to this call by conducting rigorous field research, applying experience sampling or qualitative methodologies, and collaborating with educational stakeholders. My sociological perspective is highly relevant for evaluating the socio-economic and cultural factors that shape young people’s online behaviors and for developing actionable, evidence-based recommendations to promote healthy digital habits both inside and outside the classroom.
