We offer real-life demonstration sites where New European Bauhaus solutions can be tested, implemented and scaled in close collaboration with citizens, businesses, researchers and public authorities.

Our projects align strongly with the NEB values of Beautiful, Sustainable and Together.

  • Coastal resilience

  • Biodiversity enhancement

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Biodiversity and ecosystem restoration

  • Community-led placemaking

  • Rural innovation and local identity

  • Nature-based climate adaptation

  • Wellbeing and access to nature

Together, Holmegaard, Trådværket and Kystparken allow us to demonstrate regenerative development across urban, coastal and rural contexts.

Citizen Engagement and Living Labs

We have extensive experience in:

  • Co-creation and citizen engagement

  • Participatory planning

  • Living lab methodologies

  • Community-driven innovation

  • Cross-sector collaboration

In addition, Klimafolkemødet provides a unique platform for dissemination, stakeholder engagement and European visibility.

What We Are Looking For:

We are interested in collaborating with:

  • Universities and research organisations

  • Architecture and design partners

  • Technology providers

  • Circular economy experts

  • Climate adaptation specialists

  • Cultural and creative sector organisations

  • Municipalities and regions with complementary pilot sites

Why Middelfart?

Middelfart offers a unique combination of:

  • Industrial heritage regeneration

  • Climate adaptation and biodiversity projects

  • Rural and urban demonstration sites

  • Circular construction ambitions

  • Strong citizen engagement

  • Political commitment and implementation capacity

  • European dissemination opportunities through Klimafolkemødet

We are seeking consortiums where Middelfart can contribute as a demonstration city, living lab partner and co-creator of scalable New European Bauhaus solutions.

We are not bringing a concept. We are bringing real places, real citizens and real transformation projects ready to become European demonstrators.
