About
We are Catalonia non-profit Construction Technology Institute supporting innovation, sustainability and digital transformation across the built environment value chain. Since 1978 we have developed technological services, knowledge transfer and R&D activities to improve the competitiveness and environmental performance of construction stakeholders.
We participate in European innovation projects and provide operational support to consortia from proposal preparation to implementation and market uptake.
What we can contribute to a project:
Digitalisation of the built environment
-
BIM-based sustainability workflows
-
Building Material Passports (BMP)
-
Digital Product Passports (DPP)
-
Data integration and interoperability strategies
-
Support to digital twins and district-scale modelling
Environmental assessment & circular economy
-
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
-
Level(s) framework implementation
-
Circularity and resource efficiency indicators
-
Alignment with EU Taxonomy and EPDs
-
Multi-impact calculation at building and neighbourhood scale (energy, materials, carbon)
Replication, exploitation & impact
-
Replicability and scalability strategies
-
Market uptake and business modelling
-
Stakeholder engagement and ecosystem activation
-
Demonstrator monitoring and evaluation
Innovation ecosystem
We also connect projects with an ecosystem of innovative SMEs and start-ups providing:

Bio-based structural materials
-
Industrialised off-site building systems
We want to join consortia preparing proposals related to:
-
New European Bauhaus
-
Sustainable neighbourhood renovation
-
Circular construction materials
-
Energy-positive districts
-
Climate-neutral cities
-
Industrialised and affordable housing
We are particularly interested in collaborating with:
-
project coordinators
-
municipalities and regions
-
housing agencies
-
research organisations
-
technology providers
-
social and community organisations
We can support both technical work packages and impact/exploitation activities, and we are comfortable taking roles such as WP leader, task leader or implementation partner.
