About
"Dragonfly": The social reuse centre of the CPAS (Public Centre for Social Action) of Etterbeek (Brussels, Belgium) aims to sort, refurbish and resell discarded furniture within a local circular economy framework. Beyond reuse, the project pursues major social objectives: socio-professional integration of CPAS beneficiaries, creation of jobs linked to the “Shifting Economy”, strengthening of the social fabric, and stimulation of citizen participation.
The project will be located in a municipal property known as “TOBY”, a former partially disused industrial building. The site already hosts certain municipal workshops. Renovation is scheduled to begin in 2027, based on plans to be drawn up by an architectural firm recently appointed through a public procurement procedure.
We are seeking complementary funding, such as from the New European Bauhaus, in order to make our project more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful.
