About
Our project titled “Participatory design with video games and artificial intelligence applications: pop-up (temporary) interventions in public spaces,” carried out in collaboration between Bursa Uludağ University and Osmangazi Municipality, developed high-quality designs using a participatory approach in the cities.
We have tested the project. Local people, architecture students, municipality employees and lecturers joined the workshop. The two-day workshop began with field exploration. While conducting site analysis, participants documented the problems on Osmangazi's tourism route. Following the fieldwork, they spent two days working at their desks, creating their designs using video and artificial intelligence tools such as Minecraft, CreaAI, and NanoBanana. Through these efforts, we aim to transform underutilized urban spaces into high-quality, accessible areas for public use by creating participatory, high-quality, and easily adaptable products. We are aiming the built one of the prototype on 9-13th of June under the title of NEB Satellite Event.
