Participatory & Cultural Expertise for Inclusive, Sustainable Neighbourhoods

Director at Asociación Arte Sostenible

Spain

About

Arte Sostenible is a Barcelona-based Cultural and Creative Sector organisation with extensive experience in sustainability education, participatory methodologies, co-creation, youth engagement and cultural innovation.

We are looking to join Horizon Europe New European Bauhaus Facility consortia as a partner, particularly in projects where the social, cultural and participatory dimensions of neighbourhood transformation are central.

Our expertise includes:
• Designing and facilitating participatory and co-creation processes with local communities, young people and other stakeholders.
• Developing non-formal educational methodologies, workshops and creative learning processes.
• Using visual arts, storytelling, cultural heritage and creative practices to explore environmental and social challenges.
• Supporting community engagement, inclusive participation and stakeholder dialogue.
• Translating research and complex sustainability challenges into accessible, creative and participatory formats.
• Contributing to communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and impact activities.

We can contribute particularly to tasks involving citizen and inhabitant participation, understanding local experiences and needs, co-design of neighbourhood interventions, cultural activation, social inclusion, community-based experimentation and the evaluation of participatory processes.

We are especially interested in 2026 NEB Facility proposals related to innovative spatial approaches for neighbourhoods and to understanding inhabitant experiences of neighbourhoods, while remaining open to other relevant NEB topics where our cultural and participatory expertise can add value.

Our European experience includes Horizon Europe/H2020 and Erasmus+ projects. Since 2008, Arte Sostenible has delivered more than 350 courses and workshops and worked with schools, universities, museums, public administrations and cultural organisations in Spain and Europe.

We are particularly interested in connecting with universities, research centres, municipalities, urban and spatial design organisations, cultural and creative organisations, NGOs and other consortium partners developing NEB Facility proposals.

We can join as a cultural, participatory, co-creation, education or community-engagement partner and contribute both to proposal development and project implementation.
