Municipal living-lab sites for sustainable, inclusive and smart public buildings
Chief of Energy Section at Ville de Lancy
Switzerland
About
Ville de Lancy is a Swiss municipality in the Geneva metropolitan area with an active climate and energy strategy and a diverse portfolio of public buildings. We are interested in joining a New European Bauhaus / Horizon Europe consortium as a municipal pilot-site partner and local public authority.
Lancy can offer concrete buildings and operational contexts for testing, demonstrating and replicating solutions in real public assets, including:
-
schools and educational buildings;
-
nurseries and childcare facilities;
-
municipal public offices and administrative buildings;
-
sports facilities, including stadium-related buildings and swimming pools;
-
community and cultural buildings;
-
selected residential or mixed-use municipal assets where relevant.
We can contribute as a local implementation partner by providing access to buildings, technical data where available, coordination with municipal services, operational feedback, user involvement, local logistics, and support for on-site demonstration activities.
The areas of interest include:
-
energy renovation of existing public buildings;
-
integration of renewable energy systems, including renewable heat and solar electricity;
-
smart building management and optimisation of technical installations;
-
reduction of energy consumption while improving comfort and indoor-use quality;
