Augmenting ADAS Perception with Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) Information from V2X
Senior Technology Scouting & Partnership Manager at HARMAN Automotive
Munich, Germany
About
HARMAN seeks solutions to extend ADAS and AD perception using Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) data from V2X communication. The goal is to fuse local sensor data (camera, radar, LiDAR) with cooperative perception from other vehicles and infrastructure to enhance situational awareness and safety.
We are interested in solutions for:
-
Cooperative perception fusion: Merging V2X perception messages (CPM, CAM, DENM) with onboard detections.
-
Real-time NLOS detection: Predicting occluded objects via edge-assisted AI and temporal correlation.
-
Bidirectional ADAS integration: Enabling feedback between AD perception engines and V2X stacks.
-
Ground-truth enhancement: Feeding verified perception data into analytics or simulation systems.
-
Safety and cybersecurity: Ensuring robustness against spoofing and compliance with ISO 26262 and SOTIF.
HARMAN invites startups and engineers specializing in V2X communication, cooperative perception, and AI fusion to develop next-gen ADAS capabilities beyond visual limits.
