Moldova Trade Forum 2025

Welcome to the Moldova Trade Forum 2025!

To succeed in global commerce, businesses must understand the interconnected components of international trade, supply value chains, and commercial networks. Selling to international buyers and retailers requires research, strategic planning, and adapting to different market conditions.

For leading international retailers, the demand for superior quality, reliable supply, and sustainable sourcing is constant. The Republic of Moldova, recognized globally for its exceptional wines, is now emerging as a key supplier of high-quality fruits, vegetables, and processed foods. With a unique combination of rich soil, favorable climate, and a dedicated focus on European standards, Moldovan producers are ready to help discerning retailers meet evolving consumer demands.

Moldova Trade Forum 2025 is a specialized, dedicated event to facilitate seamless business-to-business (B2B) interactions between Moldovan producers of premium, high-quality value-added products and international buyers and retailers. This initiative will serve as an effective marketplace for building strategic partnerships, promoting networking opportunities, and increasing global visibility of Moldovan goods.

The event is organized for the fifth consecutive year by the UNDP project “Advanced Cross-River Capacities for Trade” (AdTrade), with financial support from Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Objectives of Moldova Trade Forum 2025

  • Develope trade relations between local producers and foreign buyers, by fostering export growth, and expanding the presence of Moldovan high-value products on international markets.

  • Consolidate the readiness of local companies to access foreign markets by improving product and service quality, elevating standards, and building capacity to compete internationally, particularly within the EU and other markets.

  • Connect Moldovan producers and suppliers with trusted international buyers and retailers through integration into global value chains and development of their export capacities.

  • Enhance export performance by facilitating business growth through strategic market entry, fostering a strong sectorial collaboration, identifying and capitalizing on high-potential business opportunities.

  • Increase the trade and investment potential of the Republic of Moldova by presenting attractive business cooperation opportunities

For international buyers and retailers, the value proposition from Moldovan producers is based on three core pillars:

  • Exceptional Growing Conditions: Moldova’s "black soil" and moderate climate provide an ideal environment for growing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, offering a natural head start in product quality.

  • EU-Aligned Standards: The Moldovan agri-food sector has made significant strides in aligning its production methods with EU standards. This commitment, reinforced by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), ensures products meet the high safety and quality criteria required by international markets.

  • Sustainable and Safe Production: Many Moldovan farmers practice sustainable and organic farming, reducing reliance on chemicals. This focus on environmental responsibility, combined with modern certifications like ISO 9001, provides a compelling offering for eco-conscious retail partners.

The benefits for Moldovan producers and foreign retailers are based on exceptional opportunities for:

  • Creating direct connections with Moldovan producers, eliminating intermediaries and building transparent relationships.

  • Source specific, high-quality products tailored to your needs.

  • Discuss custom supply agreements and long-term partnerships that ensure continuity and competitive pricing.

  • Network with key stakeholders and gain valuable insights into Moldova's evolving agri-food landscape.
