Cooperation in combating antimicrobial resistance
Senior Research Associate at Institute of Genetics and Biotechnology, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Gödöllő, Hungary
About
Our research group can offer over 10 years of experience in executing FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020 and national research projects focused on antibiotic resistance, host-associated microbiota, 'One Health' and environmental technology initiatives. Experienced in leveraging metagenomics and molecular typing to study public health challenges. Dedicated to advancing our understanding of host-microbe interactions in both clinical and agricultural settings.
Key Competencies:
• Molecular Epidemiology: Specialist in the spread of multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogens.
• Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS): Proficient in metagenomics and resistome analysis.
• Project Leadership: Extensive experience in executing EU-funded (FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020) as well as bilateral and national research grants.
• Technical Expertise: PCR-based methods, strain characterization (MLST, MLVA), probiotic isolation (LAB), characterization of environmental (soil, urban, agricultural, natural) and host-associated microbial communities by culture-based (CFU, MNP), as well as by shotgun and amplicon and metagenomic approaches, antimicrobial susceptibility testing by EUCAST and CLSI (MIC, IC50), fluorometry in antimicrobial susceptibility testing, microcosm experiments, gut microbiome research. https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6941-1110
