Epidemic Twin is a global digital‑twin platform designed to support research on infectious‑disease dynamics through large‑scale data integration, simulation and AI‑based analysis. The system combines epidemiological datasets, mobility indicators, environmental variables and configurable intervention parameters to generate real‑time scenario exploration and multi‑region comparative modeling.

The platform enables researchers to adjust vaccination rates, mobility restrictions, quarantine levels and other policy levers to study their potential impact within a controlled simulation environment. Its architecture includes a pathogen library, regional hotspot analytics, reproduction‑rate modeling and interactive dashboards that visualize global patterns and temporal evolution.

Epidemic Twin is built for interoperability with European research infrastructures and supports collaborative work across public‑health agencies, data‑science teams and Horizon Europe consortia. It facilitates exploratory modeling, early‑warning research, digital‑twin development and cross‑border health‑intelligence initiatives, while maintaining strict data‑governance and security standards.
