CostaViva: Marine Bio‑Intelligence Platform for Multiscale Mediterranean Monitoring

representador legal at TORMENTA‑IA3, SL

Madrid, Spain

About

CostaViva is an integrated marine bio‑intelligence platform designed to support multiscale monitoring, environmental modelling and proactive governance of Mediterranean coastal ecosystems. The system combines oceanographic data streams, biodiversity indicators, environmental sensors and community‑driven observations to create a unified digital environment for research, policy support and mission‑oriented coastal management.

The platform incorporates interoperable data layers from major European marine infrastructures and enables real‑time synchronization of ocean models, shoreline dynamics, habitat indicators and anthropogenic impact metrics. CostaViva also includes a community engagement module that facilitates volunteer participation, citizen‑science data collection and technical training programmes focused on biodiversity monitoring and waste‑management practices.

CostaViva provides researchers, public authorities and mission partners with advanced visualization tools, multiscale analytics, scenario exploration and early‑warning capabilities. Its architecture is designed to support Horizon Europe initiatives related to climate resilience, coastal restoration, marine biodiversity, digital twins of the ocean and participatory environmental governance.
