Commercialisation Strategy for Research-Based Biotech Innovations

Chief consultant at The Other Innovation Institute ApS

Copenhagen, Denmark

About

We support universities, research organisations, and EU-funded consortia in bridging the gap between scientific results and real-world application. Our focus is on shaping strong, evidence-based value propositions and commercialisation strategies for research-based biotech innovations.

We work closely with researchers to articulate who the results create value for, what problem they solve, and why they are differentiated compared to existing solutions. Building on this, we support the definition of appropriate exploitation routes, including further research and development, industrial uptake, licensing, or spin-off creation.

Our contribution typically includes value proposition development, market and stakeholder analysis, exploitation and commercialisation planning, and input to Impact and Exploitation sections of EU proposals and projects. We ensure that commercialisation plans are realistic, scientifically grounded, and aligned with EU expectations on impact, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

This opportunity is relevant for academic-led consortia seeking a partner experienced in translating research excellence into clear value, credible exploitation pathways, and increased societal and economic impact.
