Clinical and Translational Research in Personalised Cancer Medicine: Biomarkers, Patient Stratification and Implementation in Clinical Practice
researcher at University Hospital Pilsen
Pilsen, Czech Republic
About
We are an experienced clinical and translational research institution with a strong focus on personalised cancer medicine. Our expertise lies in the integration of biomarkers, clinical data and real-world evidence to improve patient stratification, treatment selection and outcome assessment in oncology.
Our main competencies include:
-
Clinical research in oncology, including prospective and observational studies
-
Identification, validation and clinical application of predictive and prognostic cancer biomarkers
-
Integration of multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) with clinical and pathological information
-
Use of digital tools to support personalised cancer care
-
Experience with ethical, legal and regulatory aspects of cancer research, including patient consent and data protection
We work in close collaboration between clinicians, laboratory scientists and data specialists, enabling efficient translation of research results into routine oncological practice. Our institution has access to well-characterised cancer patient cohorts, biobanking facilities and established clinical pathways that can serve as pilot or demonstration settings for personalised medicine approaches.
We have prior experience in national and international collaborative research projects. Depending on project needs, we can involve additional clinical departments and research partners.
