About
1. Mobile-Optimized Web Application
o Purpose: Ensure accessibility for local authorities, citizens, and field teams in remote or island areas.
o Relevance: Facilitates active citizen participation (e.g., through living labs), real-time data collection, and engagement with demonstration activities.
o Impact: Strengthens societal acceptance and empowers communities to contribute to resilience strategies.
2. Generative AI (GenAI) Capabilities
o Data Analysis & Prediction:
- AI-driven models to predict climate-related risks (flooding, erosion, harmful algal blooms) using local and basin-specific data.
- Supports monitoring and evaluation of demonstration activities aligned with Digital Twin Ocean and Ocean & Water Knowledge System.
o Decision Support:
- Generate policy recommendations and green infrastructure guidance based on aggregated data and best practices.
- Assist public authorities in planning replication and scale-up roadmaps for innovative solutions.
o Citizen Engagement:
- AI-powered conversational interfaces for educational content, feedback collection, and community reporting.
3. Replication & Scale-Up Roadmap
o Use AI-driven analytics to identify replication potential and optimal locations for scaling solutions.
o Generate action plans for leveraging additional funding (ERDF, LIFE, private investment).
We can fulfill the below scope/outcomes of the call:
- Provide recommendations and guidance to align the improvement of resilience to climate change of riparian and coastal areas including in waterfront cities and islands regarding new policy measures and green infrastructure projects and to strengthen cooperation across relevant sectors (water, navigation, fisheries, hydropower and energy, etc.);
- Test and demonstrate effective solutions in riparian and coastal areas including in waterfront cities and islands to achieve the Mission’s objectives and targets and to address resilience of communities living in those areas to relevant climate change impacts. Proposals are encouraged to have an emphasis on Nature-based Solutions, an integrated source-to-sea approach including land-sea interactions, transboundary actions and the regeneration of the blue economy;
