Raynetics is a deep tech startup based in Amsterdam. We build AI software for 3D metrology in semiconductor manufacturing.

Chip structures have gone vertical, from FinFET to gate all around, 3D DRAM and stacked packaging. But most inspection still looks at surfaces. The critical dimensions and the killer defects now sit buried inside the device, where surface tools cannot reach. Our software turns electron microscope data into full volumetric-3D maps of structure and chemistry upto sub nanometer resolution. Think of it as a CT scan for chips.

Our engine needs about ten times less input data than standard tomography. Our fully automated AI+Physics engine reduces 3D reconstruction time from days to minutes, with no specialist needed in the loop. The software is hardware agnostic and runs on S/TEM, FIB-SEM and 4D-STEM data. Fabs, OSATs and failure analysis labs get a new capability on the tools they already own.

The technology is proven on real devices. We reconstructed a 22 nm FinFET in 3D with 15 elements mapped through the device. We also reconstructed a 3 nm GAA transistor from FIB-SEM data. Measurement time dropped from 16 hours to about 2 hrs. Reconstruction and analysis time reduced from 24hrs to 1 hr.

We work with a tier 1 US chipmaker, a global semiconductor foundry and manufacturer and two leading microscope makers. We are backed by NVIDIA Inception, Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland, Holland High Tech and CWI. We have raised 835k euro so far in equity and grants, which funds our research roadmap to 2028. We are now open to a 2M euro bridge round ahead of our Seed.
