Italbiotec is an Italian innovation hub for the life sciences, bioeconomy and agrifood sectors. We operate through two complementary entities: Consorzio Italbiotec, a non-profit organisation founded in 1998 by Biosearch Italia together with the Universities of Bologna and Palermo, and Italbiotec Srl, an innovative SME and Benefit Corporation based in Milan that delivers consultancy services to companies and research organisations.
Our community brings together 25 universities and research centres, 11 foundations and associations and 162 companies, and we have supported more than 250 projects, helping companies and institutions develop advanced and sustainable technologies with a positive impact on human health, the environment and the agrifood system.

We take your consortium from concept to submitted proposal: concept validated against the call criteria, content aligned to the official template, budget built, submission managed. If funded, we support negotiation up to Grant and Consortium Agreement.
Deliverables and periodic reports on time, reporting in line with programme rules and a consortium managed day to day: we handle the operational side of the project, so the coordinator can focus on the science.
A concise assessment supporting early go/no-go decisions: the benchmark a technology must meet, the endpoints decision-makers care about, and the evidence still to generate. Currently being developed into a full service.
A market research report with quantitative data, a competitive benchmark and concrete recommendations, reusable in proposals, business plans and discussions with investors and industrial partners.
Health technology assessments covering clinical effectiveness, safety, costs and ethical, legal, organisational and social aspects, also applied at an early stage, with recommendations on the path to adoption.
Scientific texts ready for submission or publication: manuscripts, abstracts, study protocols, reviews, ethics committee documentation and patient information, in line with the requirements of the target journal or institution.
A communication and dissemination plan with ready-to-use materials, training activities and educational resources for professionals, patients and citizens, and a dissemination report with KPIs for periodic reporting.
An operational plan with a register of potentially transferable results, a valorisation route for each of them and a stakeholder map, ready to be included in a proposal or implemented in an ongoing project.
Methods to identify and assess Key Exploitable Results, analysis of adoption barriers andenablers across healthcare settings, and co-creation with industry, decision-makers, clinicians and end users.
