VoiceMed Check

VoiceMed Check is an AI-powered digital solution designed to support COPD case finding and help identify people at risk who may be living with undiagnosed COPD.

The solution targets adults aged 40+ with COPD risk factors, including a history of smoking and relevant occupational or environmental exposure.

Using only a smartphone, users perform a short test consisting of three forced breaths and a sustained vocalization. The test takes less than 60 seconds and does not require any additional hardware. VoiceMed's AI analyzes the respiratory sounds and provides a positive or negative result. A positive result indicates that signs associated with COPD have been detected and the person should be referred for further clinical assessment and diagnostic confirmation, including spirometry.

VoiceMed Check is designed to make COPD case finding more accessible and scalable by bringing an initial respiratory assessment closer to people at risk. The solution can be deployed through GPs and pharmacies or integrated into existing digital health platforms via SDK, enabling it to fit within established healthcare and patient pathways.

VoiceMed Check is currently undergoing the CE marking process as a Class IIa Software as a Medical Device under the EU MDR, with European market launch planned for 2027.

The technology has been developed using a clinical dataset of more than 3,300 participants and is being further evaluated through prospective clinical studies in Europe.

VoiceMed is looking for healthcare, pharmaceutical, primary care, pharmacy, digital health and commercial partners interested in piloting, integrating and deploying VoiceMed Check to improve COPD case finding and facilitate earlier access to diagnosis.
