Rapeseed Bee Honey

The natural raw rapeseed honey “Carul cu Miere” is pale white or very light yellow, creamy and spreadable, with a less sweet taste compared to other types of honey. “Carul cu Miere” recommends rapeseed honey because this type of honey is obtained from wild rapeseed, a plant rich in proteins, carbohydrates, glucides, lipids, minerals, vitamins and beta-carotene.

The white foam that sometimes forms on the surface of crystallized honey—either in the jar or along the edges—is simply glucose from the honey, and is one of the indicators of top-quality honey.

Its formation ensures that the honey has not been heat-treated. Another reason for a “foam” layer on the jar’s surface is air bubbles formed during the honey filling process, which later rise to the surface. During crystallization, the honey solidifies differently at the surface due to these bubbles.
