Atanas Todorov has executive accountability for global Medical Affairs and Medical Product Excellence across pharma, MedTech, and digital health. At Arcondis, he provides strategic leadership to multidisciplinary medical organizations supporting 50+ products, including Software as a Medical Device, with direct responsibility for portfolio value contribution, resource allocation, and medical governance. With 15+ years of experience from bench to bedside, he partners with executive teams to de‑risk development, enable market access, and translate AI and advanced analytics into clinically meaningful, ethically sound, and regulator‑ready solutions.
Prof. Dr. med. Michael Hirschmann, Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Kantonsspital Baselland
Prof. Dr. med. Michael T. Hirschmann is Full Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Biomechanics at the University of Basel and Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Kantonsspital Baselland, where he also heads the Center for Musculoskeletal Diseases. An internationally recognized expert in knee surgery, orthopaedic biomechanics, and personalized arthroplasty, his work focuses on advancing patient-specific treatment strategies and innovative imaging approaches in orthopaedic care. Alongside his clinical and academic leadership, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy (KSSTA), one of the leading journals in the field, and holds leadership roles in several international orthopaedic societies.
Matthias Bryner, CIO, Kispi-UZH
Matthias Bryner is CIO of the University Children’s Hospital Zurich (Kispi-UZH), where he leads the strategic development of ICT as a core enterprise function. In this role, he has repositioned ICT as a key enabler of the organization, delivered a multi-year digital transformation program, and successfully managed the ICT relocation and go-live at the new Lengg site. He is also actively driving the adoption of artificial intelligence at the hospital. With around 26 years of experience in IT, Matthias Bryner is an accomplished leader in digitalization, technology, and ICT transformation. He brings extensive expertise in building high-performing ICT organizations in complex and highly regulated environments.

Jannis Schönleber is Founder and CEO of 44ai, an ETH AI Center startup providing certified sovereign AI for clinical documentation, whose platform “Haidy” automates multilingual medical documentation for leading Swiss hospitals while ensuring data remains within Swiss and EU infrastructure.
Dr. Myriam Lingg, CEO & Co-Founder, macu4 GmbH
Dr. Myriam Lingg is the founder of macu4, a Swiss MedTech startup developing modular, 3D-printed assistive devices for people with hand and arm impairments, delivered through digital and remote care. Since launching macu4 in 2021, Myriam has led the company from concept to international rollout, securing early-stage funding—including a successful deal on the TV show “Die Höhle der Löwen”—and expanding into multiple European markets and the US, with strong commercial traction and rapid growth. Tackling a global market of over 100 million people, macu4’s solution is simple, affordable, and designed for lifelong use across multiple indications, reducing costs by up to 75% while enabling scalable access to care.
Frank Bonnet, CEO & Co-Founder, Bionomous SA
Frank Bonnet is the CEO and co-founder of Bionomous, a Swiss startup developing automated solutions for the sorting and handling of biological samples used as model in research. With a background in Robotics and Bioengineering, he focuses on bringing innovative robotics technologies to market for accelerating research in life science. He is passionate about bridging the gap between advanced R&D and real-world applications.
Sasha Hugentobler, NCP Health, Euresearch
Sasha Hugentobler is the Swiss National Contact Point (NCP) for Health at Euresearch, advising on EU Health research and innovation programs, including Horizon Europe. She brings extensive experience from participating in multiple EU projects as a work package leader, task leader, and trainer. Sasha holds a PhD in biochemistry and reproductive physiology from the Universities of Galway and York.
Jimmy Bron, Head, Swiss HealthTech Center
Jimmy Bron is Deputy Head of the Swiss HealthTech Center (SHTC) at Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, where he leads multidisciplinary R&D in MedTech and HealthTech. He oversees projects from digital health to smart diagnostics, supports early-stage start-ups, and connects key ecosystem players. As an Innovation Booster Silver Aging expert evaluator, he also helps shape strategic growth leveraging SHTC’s role as an Innosuisse-accredited research partner.

BIOS Medical – Patrik Stepanek
Patrick Stepanek is Founder & COO of BIOS Medical, a medtech startup developing smart implant technology that monitors hip fracture healing directly inside the body. Integrated into standard hip implants, the solution provides continuous recovery data, enabling earlier intervention, improved patient outcomes, and more efficient use of healthcare resources. Patrick has over 10 years of experience building startups across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific and holds degrees in applied physics, flexible robotics, and global management.
CathNova – Nishant Gupta
Nishant Gupta is a co-founder and the CSO of CathNova, a Swiss MedTech spinoff from the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH). CathNova is developing a next generation neuromodulation catheter platform for mechanically ventilated patients, unifying sensing and therapy in a single minimally invasive system. The technology is designed to provide real-time diagnostics and reduce reflux related complications, thereby improving patient recovery and overall healthcare efficiency. With a background spanning physics, precision sensing, and biomedical engineering, Nishant is leading the company’s vision to set a new standard for intensive care.
GoRehab – Nic Krummenacher
Nic Krummenacher is the co-founder of GoRehab, a spin-off in formation from the University of Bern. GoRehab's solution,the DextEgg, combines a sensor-based training device with a patient app and therapist dashboard. This enables clinics to prescribe, monitor, and personalize gamified home-based dexterity training remotely, helping to bridge the gap between in-clinic therapy and real-world rehabilitation at home. After completing his PhD at the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research, Nic co-founded GoRehab to bring fine motor rehabilitation out of the clinic and into patients' homes.
InBiomics – Neyo Mathys
Neyo Mathys is Co-Founder and CEO of InBiomics, a deep-tech biotech startup developing a blood-based biosensing platform for neuroinflammation. By combining human microglia-based assays with machine learning, InBiomics aims to support more objective diagnosis and patient stratification in depression and other brain disorders. Neyo is an inventor and ETH Zurich student who discovered the Swiss startup ecosystem through the ETH Entrepreneur Club before co-founding InBiomics.
Lungstream AG – Markus Hollitsch
Markus Hollitsch is Co-Founder of Lungstream AG, a medtech startup developing a simple solution to improve oxygen delivery during flexible bronchoscopy. Compatible with standard bronchoscopes and existing oxygen systems, the device helps reduce the risk of oxygen desaturation without increasing the invasiveness of the procedure or requiring additional capital equipment. Markus holds an MSc in Polymer Engineering and an MBA, and combines experience in medical device manufacturing, procurement at BMW Group, and executive consulting before co-founding Lungstream with pulmonologist Dr. med. Thomas Melzer.
NX-Spine AG – Leanna Caron
Leanna Caron is CEO of Nexilis and NX-Spine AG, leading the commercialization of a novel bone reinforcement platform for orthopedic surgery. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on larger implants or augmentation materials, the solution strengthens bone before fixation, improving implant stability while preserving familiar surgical workflows and future treatment options. With more than 25 years of global healthcare experience, Leanna has held leadership roles across startups and multinational companies, specializing in commercialization, business development, strategic partnerships, and operational leadership.
