APWonders S.r.l., a spin-off of the University of Palermo, offers technological partnerships for the conception, design and manufacture of custom laboratory devices and prototypes for biomedical research and testing.

Our team combines extensive experience in mechanical engineering with a strong background in academic research and industrial development. Advanced mechanical design and numerical simulations are central to our approach: they support the assessment of mechanical behaviour, the optimisation of components and the development of solutions tailored to specific experimental requirements.

We work closely with partners to translate research ideas into functional equipment, covering the entire development cycle: requirements definition, concept development, detailed design, material selection, numerical analysis, manufacturing, assembly and functional testing. Turnkey solutions can integrate mechanical systems, actuators, electronics, control systems and software, providing a single point of contact throughout the project.

Our experience includes the development and sale of heart valve flow duplicators, biaxial mechanical testing machines, devices for bending tests on biological tissues, electrospinning equipment and custom gloveboxes. This track record enables us to address experimental needs that standard commercial equipment cannot fully meet.
