Meow Metrics – Smart Platform for Feral Cat Colony and Urban Biodiversity Management

Meow Metrics is a cloud-based software platform designed to support municipalities, animal welfare entities, and volunteers in managing feral cat colonies in compliance with Spain’s Animal Welfare Law (7/2023).

The system centralizes data on animals, colonies, and interventions, providing tools for collaboration, traceability, and impact measurement. It integrates mapping, notification management, task assignment, and analytics to streamline field operations and ensure transparency across all stakeholders.

Developed as part of Zoometrics’ modular ecosystem for urban biodiversity management, Meow Metrics is the first step toward a broader vision that includes monitoring of urban wildlife, green areas, and ecosystem health indicators.

We are currently seeking technological and institutional partners for internationalization, AI-based image recognition for animal identification, and collaboration in European R&D projects related to One Health, biodiversity, and smart city ecosystems.
