LATVIAN DUAL USE EXPORT FORUM 2026
First Event of the Dual-Use Export Forum 2026 Brings Together Latvian Exporters
🛡️ On 10 June, the introductory event for the Dual-Use Export Forum 2026, which will take place in Rēzekne this September, was held – a thematic seminar for Latvian exporters on opportunities to engage in the dual-use sector and international defence supply chains. This topic is becoming increasingly relevant for Latvian exporting companies, given the growing demand and new cooperation opportunities in international markets.
The event was opened by Jurģis Miezainis, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Economics; Ieva Jāgere, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA); Uģis Norītis, Deputy State Secretary for Planning at the Ministry of Defence; and Līva Stūrmane, Chairwoman of the Board of The Red Jackets, the Latvian Exporters Association.
🇱🇻 To strengthen Latvian companies’ understanding and deepen their knowledge of opportunities to become part of international defence supply chains and successfully develop their business within them, the event featured defence strategy consultant Thibault Normand from France. Romāns Baumanis (Mosphera) and Reinis Purvēns (RAW-tech) shared their entrepreneurial experience in the dual-use sector and provided practical examples from their work.
Participants not only actively engaged in discussions and shared their experiences, but also worked together to identify new cooperation opportunities and explore the potential for developing joint initiatives in the future.
Thank you to all participants for your engagement, openness, and willingness to collaborate! #StrongerTogether
The event was funded with the support of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility – NextGenerationEU.
