Professor at University of Seville , PI & International Project Coordinator at University of Seville

About

To analyse how borders (geographical, social, cultural and symbolic) shape processes of identity construction, otherness and gendered vulnerabilities in interconnected European and Ibero-American societies, contributing to inclusive and equitable policy frameworks. This WP addresses the role of historical and contemporary border dynamics in producing and transforming social inequalities, exclusion mechanisms and processes of othering. By combining historical, demographic and social approaches, it contributes to understanding long-term structural vulnerabilities and their present-day implications for inclusive societies. Core Research Axes

1️⃣ Borders as spaces of interaction and exclusion
2️⃣ Identity construction and processes of othering
3️⃣ Gendered vulnerabilities and intersectional inequalities
4️⃣ Transnational EU–Latin America comparative perspectives
5️⃣ Policy-relevant recommendations for inclusive societies
