I am a researcher specialized in the development and application of Digital Twin technologies in industrial digitalization settings to make industries smarter.
DipiLab is a research laboratory at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. It is also part of the Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center (AIRI) of the Modena Hub.
Our research is rooted in the realm of pervasive intelligence, exploring how ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence can seamlessly integrate with our daily lives, creating smart environments that respond intuitively to human needs. Our expertise extends to distributed systems and digital twins, where we explore the intricacies of decentralized computing, ensuring robustness, scalability, and efficiency in networked environments. We are interested in applications to industry, transportation, mobility, and networking
Management engineer by training, I gained two years of experience in continuous improvement programs within the industrial sector before moving into academia to pursue a PhD in Industrial Innovation Engineering. I am currently a post-doc researcher at the Distributed and Pervasive Intelligence Group of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMORE). With the research group I am part of, I study and develop tools to support the transition of manufacturing industries from traditional operations to digitally connected processes. The main areas of work concern the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Digital Twin (DT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to the industrial sector.
