H2-RURAL: Feasibility & Simulation of Hydrogen-Based Transport for Rural Areas
RD Project Manager at Nemi Mobility Solutions S.L.
Spain
About
This project develops a simulation tool to help planners, public administrations, and public transport / logistics operators design hydrogen-based transport services for rural areas.
The tool covers three areas: simulating passenger / freight demand and routes using real operational data as a baseline; modelling FCEV fleet constraints (range, refuelling time, availability) and how they shape route and fleet configuration; and identifying optimal locations for hydrogen refuelling stations that serve routes efficiently, minimising deadhead distance and maximising shared coverage.
The output would be a validated simulation and feasibility tool, grounded in real data, that supports operators and administrations in planning hydrogen-based rural decarbonisation.
We're looking for partners: hydrogen refuelling infrastructure providers, FCEV manufacturers or fleet operators (passenger or freight) with real data, and public transport/logistics operators interested in a pilot case study.
