µHRS-FLEET – Safe modular micro hydrogen refuelling bundled with the vehicle for taxi fleets
Chairman at Cetrium - Nordic Energy Innovation
Finland
About
µHRS-FLEET validates a modular micro hydrogen refuelling station (on-site electrolysis, small daily capacity, refuelling) that is offered to taxi and small fleets as one package with the vehicle, so that the first stations become viable without waiting for public demand. The project delivers a safety case and a repeatable EU permitting path for micro-stations, a supplier-independent integration architecture adapted to Nordic conditions, and a fleet pilot with measured data during 2027. Lessons learned from Norway's hydrogen station network and taxi fleets are built into the requirements.
Consortium: Cetrium Oy – Nordic Energy Innovation (Finland, project leader; modular container-based hydrogen production, storage and distribution, open integrations), INERC BV (Netherlands; independent hydrogen and explosion safety engineering) and Powunit AS (Norway, Herøya Industrial Park; hydrogen off-grid energy and mobility, Nordic market and networks).
We are looking for:
-
Taxi or small fleet operators in the EU/EEA interested in a hydrogen pilot in 2027 (letter of intent welcome)
-
Suppliers of small electrolysers, compressors, storage and dispensers able to provide equipment for the pilot on loan or lease
-
Contact with the IH-MIE pioneer partners under Challenge 2 (HRS with onsite hydrogen production) and Challenge 6 (refuelling simulator) for interoperability testing
-
Regions, including Less Developed Regions, interested in replicating the concept
We offer: system integration of a transportable micro-station, independent safety and permitting expertise for small hydrogen installations, a fleet-based business model and Nordic operating experience.
