About

This project aims to obtain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for testing laboratories specializing in hydrogen sampling and purity analysis directly at the clients' sites. As the global transition toward zero-emission energy accelerates, ensuring high-purity hydrogen is critical for fuel cell performance, industrial applications and regulatory compliance (ISO 14687 / EN 17124).

The scope encompasses establishing validated protocols for high-pressure gas sampling and advanced analytical techniques to quantify trace contaminants listed in ISO 14687 specifications such as nitrogen, oxygen, helium, argon, methane, carbon dioxide and moisture in situ and other components (sulfur compounds, carbon monoxide..) in laboratory.

Key milestones include validating test methods, estimating measurement uncertainty, implementing a robust Quality Management System (QMS) and evaluating technical competence through interlaboratory proficiency testing. Equipment calibration and staff training will be fully aligned with international metrological traceability standards.

Achieving this accreditation will certify the laboratory's technical competence, impartiality and operational consistency. Ultimately, it provides stakeholders across the hydrogen value chain with reliable, certified quality control data, facilitating seamless commercial distribution, market confidence and compliance with international clean energy standards.
