H2TRACE Mobility: Trusted AI for Hydrogen Refuelling Infrastructure

About

H2TRACE Mobility is a trusted AI platform designed to improve the reliability, safety and operational efficiency of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. The solution integrates IoT and SCADA sensor data, maintenance records and hydrogen supply information into a lightweight digital twin of the station.

Explainable AI combines engineering rules with anomaly-detection models to identify abnormal pressure or temperature patterns, compressor and dispenser degradation, sensor faults and data-quality issues. Each alert will include severity, confidence, affected variables and operator-readable reasons, supporting human decision-making without autonomously controlling station equipment.

H2TRACE will also incorporate a blockchain-verifiable evidence layer for selected inspection, maintenance and hydrogen traceability records. Only hashes and verification evidence will be registered, while sensitive operational data will remain securely off-chain.

During the 12-month IH-MIE project, EuroSpatial Innovations OÜ will adapt its existing energy-sector AI, IoT, digital twin and trusted-data capabilities to hydrogen refuelling use cases. The platform will be integrated with representative HRS datasets or test environments and validated through controlled operational scenarios, progressing from TRL 6 to TRL 8.

EuroSpatial is interested in connecting with hydrogen refuelling station operators, hydrogen suppliers, test facilities, mobility companies and technical experts who can provide non-confidential operational scenarios, technical feedback, validation requirements or access to representative testing environments.

EuroSpatial will submit the proposal as a single SME and retain full responsibility for project implementation. External organisations will participate only as prospective technical or industry validators and will not receive IH-MIE funding.
