WOMEN-AI: Inclusive Pathways for Women’s Digital Skills and Technology Careers

WOMEN-AI is a European project concept aimed at reducing gender inequalities in digital participation, advanced technology skills and technology-related employment.

The project will develop an inclusive ecosystem combining personalised AI-supported learning pathways, mentoring, authentic industry challenges and career-transition support. It will address digital literacy, AI literacy, cybersecurity, responsible technology use, digital entrepreneurship and emerging technology skills.

Particular attention will be given to women returning to employment and women from rural, disadvantaged or otherwise underrepresented communities. Cross-country living labs will evaluate changes in participants’ competencies, confidence, career readiness, employment transitions and entrepreneurial intentions.

The project will also support employers in developing gender-responsive recruitment, retention and professional-development practices. Its outputs will include a European framework for women’s digital inclusion and technology-career readiness, open training resources, implementation guidelines and policy recommendations.

Our team can contribute expertise in educational technology, digital literacy, digital citizenship, artificial intelligence literacy, technology acceptance, gendered digital inequalities, instructional design, psychometric assessment, mixed-methods research and programme evaluation.

We are seeking an experienced coordinator, universities, technology companies, women-led start-ups, vocational and adult-learning providers, employers, public employment services, municipalities and NGOs. We are particularly interested in partners that can provide training technologies, mentoring, workplace experience, access to participants or pilot environments in different European countries.
