elementarhy Production Technology – High-Volume Plasma Coating Lines for PEM Electrodes and MEAs, Integrated into Existing Manufacturing
CFO at elementarhy GmbH
Hamburg, Germany
About
Durable components only help the hydrogen economy if they can be produced in large volumes. elementarhy therefore develops the matching manufacturing technology for its plasma-coated electrodes and MEAs, together with established equipment suppliers.
Proven technology from other industries
The process builds on vacuum and plasma coating (PVD) technology. This technology has been in industrial use for years in solar and semiconductor manufacturing. It replaces wet slurry coating with a precise, dry coating process. Fully inline coating lines enable production capacities in the gigawatt range.
Integration instead of a new factory
The technology is designed to integrate into existing production lines. elementarhy supports manufacturers with:
-
Matching the coating to your components, membranes, and catalysts
-
Adapting the process to your stack format
-
Scaling from pilot production to high volume
