AI Patient Journey Assistant for Pre- and Post-Visit Care Coordination

Deputy Director at Bayés Salut

Vic, Spain

About

Bayés Salut is exploring the development of an AI-powered tool or AI agent to improve the patient journey and streamline administrative workflows in an outpatient healthcare environment.

A significant part of healthcare operations involves managing appointment preparation, documentation collection, patient instructions, and follow-up communication. These processes often create inefficiencies for healthcare professionals and friction for patients.

We are looking for a solution capable of operating on top of an internal knowledge base describing our clinical and administrative workflows. The AI system should be able to support intelligent patient interactions before and after medical visits.

A key component of the challenge is the integration between the WhatsApp Business API and our Hospital Information System (HIS). Through this integration, the AI solution should facilitate automated communication with patients, guide them through appointment preparation, help collect and structure documentation, and support follow-up instructions after the visit.

The objective is to create a more seamless patient experience while improving internal efficiency in agenda management, queue coordination, and document handling, leveraging the interaction between patient communication channels and clinical administrative systems.
