About
X-ray Microtomography (Micro-CT) is a powerful non-destructive imaging method that uses X-rays to create high-resolution, three-dimensional representations of an object’s internal structure. By rotating the sample and capturing hundreds to thousands of projection images, Micro-CT reconstructs a detailed 3D model that reveals fine micro-scale features such as pores, fractures, inclusions, interfaces, and material density variations-all without physically altering the sample.
This technique is widely used in materials science, geology, biology, engineering, and industrial inspection. It enables researchers and professionals to analyze internal geometries, measure structural parameters, and understand failure mechanisms with exceptional clarity. Micro-CT supports qualitative visualization as well as quantitative analysis, making it an essential tool for quality assurance, product development, and scientific investigation.
