NATURE-2027-01-02 | Biodiversity, digital transition and spatial design for nature-positive transformation

PhD Architect. Adjunct University Lecturer at ACEAA – Association for Space, Art and Action

Madrid, Spain

About

ACEAA – Association for Space, Art and Action – is a Spanish non-profit organisation and New European Bauhaus Community Partner seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-02 – Better understanding, anticipating and addressing the biodiversity benefits and impacts of the clean and digital transitions.

Our expertise lies at the intersection of architecture, biodiversity, digital interaction, ecological perception, multispecies research and design-led approaches to socio-ecological transformation.

We can contribute to tasks related to:

  • relationships between digital technologies and biodiversity;

  • ecological perception and environmental awareness;

  • interactive and responsive spatial environments;

  • multispecies and more-than-human design;

  • ecological, spatial and trans-scalar mapping;

  • design-led research on digital mediation of environmental processes;

  • stakeholder engagement and participatory methodologies;

  • translation of ecological data into spatial, visual and experiential formats;

  • artistic and experimental approaches to digital-environmental interaction;

  • communication, dissemination and public engagement.

ACEAA is particularly interested in how digital technologies can both affect biodiversity and create new ways of perceiving, understanding and interacting with ecological processes.

Our contribution can complement partners specialising in biodiversity science, digital technologies, data analysis, policy or environmental assessment by bringing spatial, design, participatory and experiential perspectives to the clean and digital transition.

We are interested in contributing as a project partner and potential Task Leader, particularly in tasks related to design research, ecological perception, digital mediation, stakeholder engagement, mapping and public participation.

We seek collaboration with universities, research centres, technology organisations, environmental institutions, public authorities, NGOs and other actors working on biodiversity and the digital transition.
