NATURE-2027-02-03 | Scaling Living Labs for nature restoration through co-creation, design and knowledge transfer

PhD Architect. Adjunct University Lecturer at ACEAA – Association for Space, Art and Action

Madrid, Spain

About

ACEAA – Association for Space, Art and Action – is a Spanish non-profit organisation and New European Bauhaus Community Partner seeking to join a consortium preparing a proposal for HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-03 – Networking to scale up living labs for nature restoration solutions and to address bottlenecks to implementation.

Our expertise lies at the intersection of architecture, biodiversity, participatory design, multispecies research, ecological mapping, Living Lab methodologies and knowledge transfer.

We can contribute to tasks related to:

  • networking and coordination between Living Labs;

  • participatory and co-creation methodologies;

  • stakeholder engagement and community participation;

  • multispecies and more-than-human design approaches;

  • ecological, spatial and trans-scalar mapping;

  • transfer of practices between pilot sites and regions;

  • translation of research results into accessible spatial, visual and experiential formats;

  • workshops, training activities and capacity building;

  • communication, dissemination and public engagement;

  • design-led methods for scaling and replication.

ACEAA is particularly interested in how Living Lab networks can accelerate the transfer of restoration knowledge across territories while adapting solutions to different social, cultural, spatial and ecological contexts.

Our contribution can complement partners specialising in restoration science, governance, monitoring or environmental management by bringing design, spatial, participatory and communication expertise to the networking and scaling process.

We are interested in contributing as a project partner and potential Task Leader, particularly in tasks related to stakeholder engagement, co-creation, knowledge transfer, communication, replication methodologies and Living Lab networking.

We seek collaboration with universities, research centres, Living Lab networks, public authorities, NGOs, municipalities, environmental organisations and other actors involved in ecosystem restoration.
