About
GEN Europe (Global Ecovillage Network Europe) is a 30-year network of 100+ ecovillages and regenerative communities, established across most European countries. Many of our member communities adopt Living Lab methodologies on topic like regenerative agriculture, soil regeneration, rural depopulation, community water management, and participatory governance.
IPBES's Transformative Change Assessment argues that halting biodiversity loss requires deep, structural shifts in how societies relate to nature. Among its strategies, it calls to "conserve, restore and regenerate places of value to people and nature" that exemplify biocultural diversity: places where a different relationship with nature is already lived. Ecovillages are exactly those places, and GEN Europe's network makes them accessible.
For HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03 (Systemic approaches to accelerate transformative change for biodiversity), we offer a translocal embedding and scaling partner: this lived practice feeding directly into the consortium's pilots and evidence base, with a network able to test and scale validated solutions across multiple countries.
We looking for a consortium and we are keen to connect with an ecological or natural-science lead and a prospective coordinator with a track record in this cluster.
