About
Progenus is a Belgian SME specialized in molecular biology, DNA-based testing and applied R&D.
We are looking to join Horizon Europe consortia as an analytical and R&D partner, particularly for projects related to One Health, biodiversity, animal-environment interactions, molecular monitoring, species identification, invasive species and microbial detection.
Our expertise includes:
-
PCR and qPCR assay development
-
LAMP and other molecular detection approaches
-
Assay optimisation and analytical validation
-
DNA extraction and analysis from complex biological matrices
-
Sanger sequencing, NGS and bacterial whole genome sequencing
-
Nanopore sequencing
-
Animal genetics and genetic testing
-
Molecular identification and species detection
-
Microbial detection
-
Applied molecular biology for agri-food, veterinary, biotech and environmental applications
Progenus has experience participating in European collaborative research and innovation projects, including the DETECTIVE project, working with academic and industrial partners.
We can contribute to work packages requiring method development, molecular monitoring, sequencing, analytical validation, sample analysis or translation of research methods into robust applied tools.
We are particularly interested in the following Horizon Europe NATURE topics:
-
HORIZON-NATURE-2027-03-01 – Biodiversity-health interface under a One Health approach
-
HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-05 – Cost-effective biodiversity monitoring
-
HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-04 – Wildlife trafficking and invasive alien species
We are seeking contact with coordinators or consortium builders looking for an SME partner with molecular biology, sequencing and DNA-based analytical capabilities.
