About
PT will design and implement the project’s integrated “disinformation operations” platform layer, enabling the collection and structuring of heterogeneous signals relevant to climate information environments (online and, where relevant, partner-provided offline inputs). This includes robust ingestion connectors, scalable data pipelines, and interoperable APIs that allow analytical components to be deployed consistently across pilots. The platform will support the project’s need to understand sources/channels/types of mis/disinformation and to investigate the role of AI in its spread and amplification, while enabling the delivery of tools/products for stakeholders to counter mis/disinformation at scale.
To move from research prototypes to real stakeholder use, PT will provide the project’s MLOps and lifecycle management framework for any AI-enabled detection, monitoring and content-analysis components (e.g., classification, clustering, narrative/claim tracking, impact monitoring). PT will establish reproducible training and evaluation pipelines, controlled release and rollback procedures, monitoring for model/data drift, and audit-ready logging so that stakeholder-facing capabilities remain reliable over time and can be safely scaled. This directly supports the topic’s emphasis on solutions that work “at scale” and on credible pathways for uptake, including piloting with end-users and integration into existing platforms and frameworks.
Given the sensitivity of interventions in information spaces, PT will embed security- and privacy-by-design into the platform and its deployments. This includes identity and access management, role-based controls for different stakeholder groups, secure interfaces and operational hardening, and governance mechanisms that allow partners to collaborate while respecting legal/ethical constraints. These measures underpin the project’s wider ambition to strengthen democratic processes and resilience, and they enable responsible use of AI as part of the solution—not only as a risk factor to be studied.
